      Components needed for installation:

      • Processors, for example, 3rd Generation Intel® Xeon® Scalable Processors (formerly codenamed Cooper Lake or Ice Lake)
      • Processor carrier clips
        Note These clips typically come with the server system or motherboard.
      • Heatsinks with thermal interface material (TIM)
        Note The TIM is typically pre-applied on the bottom of new heatsinks. The heatsinks typically come with the server system or motherboard or may need to be purchased separately. Contact the system manufacturer for information on compatible heatsinks.
      • T-30 Torx screwdriver or drill with a T-30 Torx bit that supports 8 in-lb.
