Unable to Install Windows* Using a USB Boot Device on Intel® NUC

Environment

A bootable USB device with Windows* is not detected in Intel NUC BIOS.

Description

There is an issue when trying to install Windows* using a bootable USB device in which the USB device isn't detected in the BIOS in UEFI mode.

Resolution
  1. Update the Intel NUC to the latest BIOS version.
  2. If the above didn't work, try a BIOS recovery.
  3. Reimage the USB device. Both Microsoft and several other companies like Rufus provide tools to create a Windows bootable USB device.
  4. If none of the above work, contact Intel® Customer support.
