Clarification on the Intel® X710 DA-2/DA-4 Product Brief PCI specifications

Description

Unable to understand why the Intel® Ethernet Converged Network Adapter X710-DA4 is Non-PCI compliant.

Intel® does offer a 4x10 SFP+, low profile, non-PCI compliant version of the Intel® Ethernet Converged Network Adapter X710-DA4 FH. Please contact your Intel representative for information about this adapter.

Resolution

The Intel® Ethernet X710-DA4 (4x10 SFP+) does not strictly conform to all of the PCIe* mechanical zones. It is not physically possible to configure four SFP+ cages in a low profile PCIe* add-in card form factor within the space defined by the PCIe* specification. As a result, the product does not fit within a standard PCI connector opening.
