Description

Unable to validate whether the Mustang V100 MX8 can be powered by PCIe without 12V external power.

Resolution

The Mustang-V100-MX8 cannot be powered by PCIe. It requires 12V DC power according to Step 6, Section 3.2 Installation Considerations, in the& Mustang-V100-MX8 User Manual.

Additional information

If the Mustang-V100-MX8 does not receive sufficient power, it can go under voltage and not perform efficiently.
Use a power cable with 6-pin connectors from the system if applicable
Or add a 4-pin to 6-pin PCIe power adapter to connect to the power connector of Mustang-V100-MX8
