Steps to format an external storage device in NTFS with Microsoft Windows*.

Description

Unable to make an external storage device work with Windows*. When connecting the external device on the system, Windows was showing a capacity of 3.5GB instead of 2TB.

Resolution
  1. Open  File Explorer*.
  2. Locate the external drive on the left menu.
  3. Right-click the drive.
  4. Select Format... option.
  5. On the File System option choose NTFS.
  6. Click Start.
