How to Set Up Intel® Rapid Storage Technology Enterprise (Intel® RSTe) RAID Configuration on the Intel® Server Board M10JNP2SB

Description

Unable to set up a RAID volume via the Intel® RSTe menu in BIOS.

Resolution

Intel® RSTe SoftwareThe Intel® Rapid Storage Technology enterprise (Intel® RSTe) software is no longer available. See more details in Announcement: Intel® Rapid Storage Technology Enterprise (Intel® RSTe) and Intel® Virtual RAID on CPU (Intel® VROC) Consolidation.

Follow the steps below:

  1. Navigate to Advanced > CSM Configuration > Compatibility Support Mode (CSM) Configuration > CSM Support (Enabled).
  2. Set the network, storage, video, and other PCI devices settings to UEFI.
  3. Save the changes by pressing the key F4.
  4. Navigate to Chipset > South Bridge > SATA And RSTe Configuration.
  5. Set the setting SATA Mode to RAID.
  6. Download the Intel® RSTe driver from Intel® Rapid Storage Technology Enterprise (Intel® RSTe) Software RAID Driver for the Intel® Server Board M10JNP2SB.
  7. Launch Windows* Setup and load the driver named Intel_VROC_windows_x.x.x.xxxx_pv. The path is Intel_VROC_windows_x.x.x.xxxx_pv > F6-drivers > VROC_x.x.x.xxxx_F6-drivers > SATA_iaStorE.free.win8.64bit.x.x.x.xxxx.
