What are the reasons behind the Intel's decision to set an Intel® Processor in Discontinued status in the product specifications page (ARK)?
Why are processors of the same generation and same launch date set to different status?
Products eventually reach their natural end of life for various reasons, including new and better technologies becoming available, marketplace changes, or sources for parts and technologies are unavailable. This is part of any technology product’s lifecycle.
For more information on the latest changes on any processor status, you can go to the Product specifications page (ARK) and enter your processor number in the Search specifications box at the upper-right. Information about the product status will be located under Ordering and Compliance in the PCN/MDDS information section.
