PCIe* Switch and Retimer for Intel® Server Board S2600WF and S2600ST Families
In addition to the onboard OCuLink ports, you may also use a PCIe* switch or retimer add-in card to connect more NVMe* SSD on Intel® Server Board S2600WF and S2600ST families. In practice, the retimer card can provide better throughput but the switch cards are more flexible as they can go in any available x8 or x16 PCIe slots while the retimer requires a x16 PCIe slot.
