Description of error message and guidance to resolve the issue
Error Message encountered while managing Intel® Optane™ memory: Your system drive is starting to degrade. Disable Intel® Optane™ Memory to avoid data loss.
The application has detected a degradation in the health status of the accelerated volume. To avoid data loss, it is recommended to disable Intel Optane memory.
Follow the actions below to resolve the issue:

- Disable acceleration through the Intel® Optane™ Memory management capable application or the BIOS (under the Rapid Storage Technology menu).
- If the Intel Optane Memory and Storage Management application does not provide the option to disable acceleration, update the Intel® Rapid Storage Technology (Intel® RST) driver per the platform below and try to disable through the application. You may also review with the platform/system manufacturer the latest Intel® RST driver version available for your platform:
- Make sure to review the SMART logs for the drive being accelerated to help troubleshoot what the issue could be. Utilities such as the Intel® Memory and Storage Tool provide this capability for Intel® SSDs. It may be necessary to use a new drive for system acceleration.
