9th Gen, 8th Gen, 7th Gen, 6th Generation Intel® Desktop Processors use LGA1151 socket.
Socket LGA1151 and LGA1200 Comparison:
- Processors based on LGA1151 and LGA1200 are electrically incompatible.
- The mechanical keying position is different as shown in the image below.
- The position of Pin 1 remains unchanged and is located at the bottom-left corner as shown in the image below.
