Unique Product Feature of the Intel® Server Board S2600TPNR Enables Preservation of Key Data
Intel® Server Board S2600TPNR offers Complex Programmable Logic Device (CPLD) version 3.2 ADR-on-Reset cold-reset feature support when using a non-volatile dual in-line memory module (NVDIMM). And Intel® Compute Module HNS2600TPNR is based on Intel® Server Board S2600TPNR.
Intel® Server Board S2600TPR, S2600TPFR, S2600TPTR and the appropriate Intel® Compute Modules based on these boards don't provide this feature. Refer to the Technical Product Specification for the Intel® Server Board S2600TP Family for all features of:
- Intel® Server Board S2600TP family
- Intel® Compute Module HNS2600TP family
Note | The Asynchronous DRAM Refresh (ADR) feature in the Intel® Xeon® Processor E5-2600 provides a mechanism to enable preservation of key data in NVDIMM system memory, in the event of AC power supply failure. ADR entry forces a flush of data from specific ADR protected write buffers inside the Intel® Xeon® processor E5-2600. Any write data not in the buffers conceptually referred to as the ADR protected buffers is lost on power-failure. |
