10th Generation Intel® Desktop Processors Box Manuals
Processor installation instructions are included in the manuals for Intel® Boxed Desktop Processors. For some boxed 10th Generation Intel® Desktop Processors (LGA1200 socket), the image #4 was not updated and contained LGA1151 socket keying position information.
The updated boxed manuals show triangle (Pin 1) instead of socket keying position. To install the processor correctly, triangle (Pin 1) should be matched up with the motherboard socket triangle (Pin 1). The socket keying / notches for LGA1200 are different from previous generation, LGA1151.
PREVIOUS: Initial image #4 shows LGA1151 socket keying position.
UPDATED: Image #4 removes LGA1151 socket keying position and points to triangle (Pin 1) location and cautions not to touch processor pins.
