What Is the Operational Temperature of an Intel® Xeon® Scalable Processor?
It depends. Intel can't give a specific operational temperature range of an Intel® Xeon® Scalable Processor because it will depend on:
- The maximum performance of the heatsink used
- The way the fans are controlled in a system (which can vary the performance of the heatsink)
Intel recommends you review the information (such as Tcase and DTS_Max) in the Thermal Management section of the processor's Thermal Mechanical Design Guides (if available). Check with their heatsink, chassis, and system manufacturers:
- If the processor is supported
- For their recommended thermal guidance
Note | Thermal Mechanical Design Guides aren't publically available for all processors. |
