Unable to find the options to create a RAID in BIOS when the system is configured in UEFI mode.

Resolution

Take into consideration prior creating the the RAID array:

  • RAID 10 requires to create 2 x RAID 1 spans, and the minimum of drives required are 4
  • RAID 50 requires to create 2 x RAID 5 spans, and the minimum of drives required are 6
  • RAID 60 requires to create 2 x RAID 6 spans, and the minimum of drives required are 8

  1. Create the spans needed depending on the type of RAID that is going to be used (10, 50, 60).
  2. Select Apply Changes.
  3. Select Save Configuration.
  4. Fast Initialize the drives to finish.
