Unable to install the Intel® Performance Maximizer tool. Error message showing: Failed to create a partition.

Resolution

Intel® Performance Maximizer tool requires 16 GB of free disk space.

                   

Note

This application allows the end user to shrink an existing disk partition to provide 16 GB of disk space.

Follow the steps below to resolve Intel® Performance Maximizer tool installation issue:

  1. Create an unallocated space of 17 GB at the end of the drive C manually and let Intel® Performance Maximizer tool detect and use it.
  2. If still not able to proceed, uninstall and reinstall the Intel® Performance Maximizer tool.
  3. Reinstall the operating system.

 

Note

The Intel® Performance Maximizer does not support 11th and 12th Generation of Intel® Core™ Processors. There are no plans to support future generation product automatic overclock tuning using the Intel® Performance Maximizer application.
