What is the difference between ATPO and CPUID?
The CPUID and the ATPO (Serial Number ) numbers are not the same.
CPUID
The processor ID (CPUID) is a combination of the processor family, processor model, and processor stepping reported in a hexadecimal format. For example, processor number i5-7300U has CPUID of 806E9, so the same processor that is installed in a different computer will have the same CPUID as well.
You can run the Intel® Processors Identification Utility to get the CPUID. For more information refer to CPUID Information for Intel® Processors
ATPO (Serial Number)
ATPO stands for Assembly Test Process Order. Every processor manufactured will have a unique identifier called ATPO (serial number) that is unique to that processor only.
