This article provides information to help resolve issues and errors seen with the Intel® Computing Improvement Program (Intel® CIP).
Some users have experienced specific errors with the Intel® Computing Improvement Program (Intel® CIP) calling out missing files containing sur, queencreek, or sursvc_qh.msi, or a message stating esrv.exe couldn't start properly and has to be shut down. These files are all related to the optional opt-in program Intel CIP.
If you get any of these error messages, locate the Intel® Computing Improvement Program (Intel® CIP) in the Control Panel -> Programs and uninstall it. Uninstalling will remove the .exe files and dll's and the Intel CIP service should not run anymore, stopping the error messages.
If this action doesn't resolve the issue, you can try either of the following:
- Contact Intel Support. Have a screenshot of the error to provide to the agent.
- Post on the Intel Communities site to get assistance.
Refer to this page for additional Intel® CIP information.
