Explains which Intel® Processors use STIM.
Unable to tell which Intel® Processors use the solder thermal interface material (STIM).
STIM is a solder thermal interface material between the integrated heat spreader (IHS) and the processor die. STIM can provide increased thermal conductivity between the CPU die and the integrated heat spreader (IHS).
All Intel® desktop processors starting with 11th Generation, have the solder thermal interface material (STIM).
Some of the unlocked processors of 10th and 9th Gen Intel® Core™ i9, i7 and i5 processors that include the letter “K” in the product line suffix have the solder thermal interface material (STIM).
- i9-10900K, i9-10900KF, i7-10700K, i7-10700KF, i5-10600K and i5-10600KF.
