Description
Opening WhatsApp Web* and Google Chrome* applications causes the system to freeze.
Resolution
Follow the steps below:
- The first four troubleshooting tips below can help if the application uses network/internet connections.
- Clear cache.
- Check network proxy.
- Disable firewall in Windows*.
- Check Internet connection.
- Remove any programs on the system that you do not use or do not recognize, especially if you recently installed something before the issue started.
- Check the health of the storage.
- Run Error Check on the drives.
- For Intel® SSDs, use the Intel® Memory and Storage Tool to run diagnostics on the drive. (Update the firmware at a later time if needed, but do not update during the troubleshooting because this may introduce new problems.)
- For non-Intel SSDs, there might be a similar tool from the manufacturer.
- Check for updates/patches If the application has an update process.
- Verify that the latest version of the third-party software application is installed.
- Perform Windows updates.
