Steps to create a RAID 0 volume if a boot drive is selected to be part of the array.
The Create tab is not available on the Intel® Rapid Storage Technology (Intel® RST) user interface when trying to create a RAID 0 volume.
When creating a RAID 0 volume, make sure the boot drive is not selected to be part of the array, since this may disable the Create tab on the Intel® RST user interface. If the Create tab is not available, follow these steps to fix it:
- Use another non-boot drive or move your data, operating system, and applications to a new drive temporarily.
- Boot the system.
- Creating a RAID volume is now possible.
- Move the data and applications to the RAID 0 volume created.
