Hardware and software must support the same RAID volume in order to move it to another system.
Planning to move a RAID 1 Windows volume to a system that contains Ubuntu 18.04. Will the drive be accessible?
In order to move a RAID 1 volume to a different system, the new system must support the following:
- System (software/hardware) configured to support the same Intel® Rapid Storage Technology (RAID driver)
- The same type of RAID volume
The drive may or may not be available, depending on the Ubuntu OS. If it is detected, the volume should only be used as a data drive, and the Windows OS should not be booted into.
