This article describes an issue when all windows are moved to a different monitor after the system resumes from Sleep mode (S3)
If the Displays are turned off when the computer goes to Sleep (also known as S3 or Standby) and then switch them ON again all the opened windows are resized and possibly moved across or between available Displays.
Intel has concluded that this situation occurs due to an Operating System (OS) design. The OS is not storing and persisting the window size and placement upon the disconnection of some display devices. Our driver is reporting a plug event correctly to the OS, but without persistence windows shift and move to the primary display. Other manufacturers may work around this through their own driver implementations.
Intel recommends reporting this issue directly to Microsoft.
