Intel® AMT USB Key Provisioning Not Working

Environment

Customer has created an AMT provisioning USB key using the ACUwizard, but it's not working.

Instructions for determining if Intel® AMT USB key provisioning is disabled in the system BIOS

Description

Intel® AMT system cannot be provisioned using USB. The system ignores the USB key and boots to the OS.

Resolution

Reboot your system and enter the BIOS setting screen. Enable the setting that controls AMT USB key provisioning.
The location of the setting will vary from manufacturer to manufacturer.

Additional information

Some system manufacturers have implemented BIOS settings that control the USB Key Provisioning option for Intel® AMT. For security reasons, the option is set to Disabled by default.
