Information about how OpenGL* works on Intel® Graphics controllers

Description

Is it possible to upgrade or downgrade OpenGL* versions?
I want to upgrade OpenGL version to enable software functionality.

Resolution

Intel Graphics drivers merely enable the use of OpenGL*. This means that OpenGL* drivers must be installed separately, and are often included with the game or application that requires it.

Even though Intel® Graphics controllers support a wide range of popular Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) such as OpenGL*, make sure the Intel® Graphics controller is compatible with the version required to run games and applications. In this scenario, games and applications should provide specific OpenGL* version compatibility.

You may contact the system manufacturer for assistance.

This might include installing Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) drivers since they are customized to ensure system functionality. Also remember that the operating system should be up to date.

For more information, here are the Supported APIs for Intel® Graphics Controllers.
