How to Get 1.73 Gbps with the Intel® Wireless-AC 9260 and 9560
What am I seeing?
The Intel® Wireless-AC 9260 and 9560 aren't connecting at the 1.73Gbps link rate.
Why am I seeing it?
This could be caused by:
- The wireless Access Point (AP) doesn't support or isn't configured to enable 160 MHz channel width (also known as HT160) and/or;
- The Intel® Wireless Adapter is configured to 20 MHz only for 5GHz channel width.
The Intel Wireless-AC 9260 and 9560 uses the 160 MHz channel width to achieve 1.73 Gbps rate.
Note | The Intel® Wireless-AC 9260 and 9560 support only the contiguous 160 MHz channel width configuration. 2 separated non-contiguous 80 MHz (or 80 + 80 MHz) configuration isn't supported. |
How to fix it.
- Enable your wireless AP to support contiguous 160 MHz (or HT160) channel width.
- Make sure the Channel Width for 5GHz setting for your Intel® Wireless Adapter is set to Auto (default value)
