Required components when using multiple cameras on Aaeon Up Board and how to make the set up.
I have some questions about Intel® RealSense™ Depth Camera D435 + Aaeon* UP Board. We want to run 4 cameras together. Is this possible?
The Multi-Camera configuration is currently available for Intel® RealSense™ Depth Camera D415 and Intel® RealSense™ Depth Camera D435. You can check the whitepaper here.
It is possible to use the Aaeon* UP Board with 4 Intel® RealSense™ Depth Camera D435, but take into consideration:
- You will need a powered USB3 Hub, since the Aaeon* UP Board has only 1 USB3 port.
- You might notice that the frame rate can be reduced. On page 4 under section 2. Multi-camera considerations: of the whitepaper, find steaming results for 4-port USB 3 Hub and the streaming results for connecting directly to 4 ports of a PC for RealSense D415.
- If you are not interested in high resolution, then use Aaeon* UP Board with 4 Intel® RealSense™ Depth Camera D435.
- For higher resolution and better stability, use a PC that has 4 available USB3 ports.
If you have purchased the Intel RealSense camera and the Aaeon* Up Board separately, you will also need to purchase an USB 3.0 Micro-B Male to USB 3.0 Female.
You can purchase the products from Intel Authorized Distributors.
