What to Do When an Intel® Solid State Drive (Intel® SSD) Is Failing in RAID

Description

Intel SSD is failing in RAID.

Resolution

The RAID controller may report that the drive is failing for various reasons. If the issue is drive detection, refer to Troubleshooting Recognition Issues for Intel® Solid State Drives.

Remove the drive from RAID before trying the following:

  1. Update the firmware of the drive to the latest version available.
  2. If the issue persists, perform a secure erase/low-level format:
