How to Configure the Drives in the Front Drive Bay of Intel® Server Chassis H2000P with Intel® Compute Module HNS2600BP
To use the hard drives or SSDs in the front drive bays of Intel® Server Chassis H2000P, a bridge board is required to be installed into Intel® Compute Module HNS2600BP. Refer to Technical Product Specification for Intel® Server Board S2600BP Family for information on all supported bridge board options.
The S2600BP system accesses the hard drive in the front drive bay of the chassis via the bridge board. Follow the below steps to configure the hard drive for OS installation.
- If a 12G SAS bridge board is used, make sure 2pcs CPUs are installed properly to enable the 12G SAS bridge board.
- Enter BIOS setup. Go to Boot Maintenance Manager -> Advanced Boot Options, set Boot Mode as UEFI, and set Video BIOS as UEFI.
- Go to Advanced -> PCI Configuration -> UEFI Option ROM Control -> Intel ® Integrated RAID xxxx Configuration Utility – xxxx, press Enter to initiate the configuration utility.
- If the drives contain the previous configuration, go to Configuration Management -> Clear Configuration to clear the previous configuration from the hard drive.
- Go to Configuration Management and configure the drives as needed.
- Start operating system installation and load the RAID driver.
