Error: No Driver Disks Found in /Dev/sdb1
How to fix it:
If you get the above error while installing Intel® Embedded Server RAID Technology 2 RAID drivers in the Red Hat Enterprise Linux* operating system:
- Download the latest Intel® Embedded Server RAID Technology 2 RAID driver for Linux*
- Open the file with a tool like 7zip.
- Unzip megasr_linux.tgz
- From the megasr-raid5\ISOs\ folder, extract the contents of the megasr-18.02.2019.0603-1-rhel_version-x86_64.iso file to a USB key.
- Turn on the server.
- Make sure that a RAID array is created and the virtual drive shows online.
- Boot the server and when prompted, press F6 to access the boot menu. Then select the install media and press Enter.
- At the RedHat install options screen, press the tab for advanced options. After the word quiet, press the space bar and type linux dd modprobe.blacklist=ahci.
- When prompted, press r to refresh the list of storage devices.
- Type the number of the storage device where you decompressed the .iso file and press Enter.
- Type the number 1 to select the installation drivers and press Enter.
- Type the letter c to continue and press Enter.
- Press c to continue again and press Enter.
- Select language and continue.
- Click the installation destination and select the drive that corresponds to your RAID. The name of that drive could be Intel MegaSR. Select any additional applicable options and click Done.
- Create your user's or root password and proceed with the operating system installation.
