How to fix it:
If you get the above error while installing Intel® Embedded Server RAID Technology 2 RAID drivers in the Red Hat Enterprise Linux* operating system:

  1. Download the latest Intel® Embedded Server RAID Technology 2 RAID driver for Linux*
  2. Open the file with a tool like 7zip.
  3. Unzip megasr_linux.tgz
  4. From the megasr-raid5\ISOs\ folder, extract the contents of the megasr-18.02.2019.0603-1-rhel_version-x86_64.iso file to a USB key.
  5. Turn on the server.
  6. Make sure that a RAID array is created and the virtual drive shows online.
  7. Boot the server and when prompted, press F6 to access the boot menu. Then select the install media and press Enter.
  8. At the RedHat install options screen, press the tab for advanced options. After the word quiet, press the space bar and type linux dd modprobe.blacklist=ahci.
