When updating the BIOS and Firmware, what order do I install packages if I'm not updating a hot-swap controller (HSC)?
The recommended upgrade method is:

  1. Update the BIOS
  2. Update the BMC firmware
  3. Update the FRUSDR
  4. Reboot and verify BIOS settings

The recommended method is:

  1. Update the BIOS
  2. Update the BMC firmware
  3. Update the Hot Swap Controller (HSC)
  4. Update the FRUSDR
  5. Reboot and verify BIOS settings

 

Note Updates to the HSC are less common and are not included with every update package.
