A previous generation of Intel® Server Boards and Intel® Server Systems based on the Intel® Xeon® Processor E5-2600 v1 and v2 Families used an Intel® RAID C600 Upgrade Key:

Note Some keys may not be suitable for some boards or systems. Enabling eight ports on a system with only four physical ports doesn't yield any benefit.
