Memory configuration notes
- The Intel® Server Board S3420GP has six DDR3 memory slots.
- The Intel® Server Board S3420GPV has four memory slots.
- Only use UDIMMs, not RDIMMs, with Intel® Core™ Duo Processors or Intel® Pentium® Processors.
- The Intel Server Board S3420GPV requires BIOS 46 or later to support RDIMMs.
Unsupported configurations
The following configurations aren't validated, supported, or recommended:
- Mixing RDIMMs and UDIMMs
- Mixing memory type, size, speed, and/or rank
- Mixing memory vendors
- Non-ECC memory
