Determine Which File to Download for Your Intel® Wireless Adapter
You can download a variety of file types for wireless adapters. Consumer files are for home users. Businesses that don't need the advanced installation options for IT Administrators can also use the consumer files.

Do I choose driver-only or Intel® PROSet/Wireless Software?
Choose Intel® PROSet/Wireless Software if you want troubleshooting tools and some advanced security options beyond what's included with Microsoft Windows*.
If you are using Windows to create and manage your wireless profiles, you can download the driver-only package.

- Go to Download Center.
- Select your adapter from the list.
- Select your operating system to narrow down the choices.
If you are not sure which file you need, choose either:
- The Intel® PROSet/Wireless Software
- Use the Intel® Driver & Support Assistant to automatically update your driver to the latest available version.
Intel® PROSet/Wireless Software options
- Intel® PROSet/Wireless Software and Drivers include wireless drivers for all Intel® Wireless Adapters and the software. You only need to download one file.

IT Administrator
Intel® PROSet/Wireless Software and Drivers for IT Administrators are meant for business users who need to:
- Perform silent installation or customize components to install.
- Use GPO or other methods to distribute software to a large number of users.
- Need the ability to create profiles with PROSet/Wireless Software on Windows 7.
Intel® PROSet/Wireless Advanced Enterprise Software
Intel® PROSet/Wireless Advanced Enterprise Software combines simplified user interface design with advanced IT tools to:
- Create and push Wi-Fi profiles.
- Centrally control client software.
- Remotely enforce corporate network policies.
This software also provides the same familiar Intel user interface and tools available for Microsoft Windows XP* with the addition of must-have enterprise features:
- IT Administrator Tool kit.
- Adapter Switching.
- Profile Migration tool.
- Reset ProSet.
- Statistics, diagnostics, and a troubleshooting tool.
