Safety Data Sheet (SDS) Revisions
General Rules - Safety Data Sheets get updated for the following reasons:
Please refer to the country specific regulations for requirements to update your Safety Data Sheet.
- Without delay when major change occurs: (per Global Harmonization Standards GHS)
- Change in telephone number
- Change in Classification & Labeling (more stringent)
- Authorization/restriction (granted/refused/imposed)
- Change in controls (more stringent)
- Exposure scenario becomes available (EU)
Other changes: - Change in occupational exposure limits
- Availability of registration numbers
If classifications have changed consider: - Impacts on safety management ie. update Sections 7, 8 and 13
- Consistency with information on which new or revised classification based ie. Sections 9, 11 and 12
- Upon update of SDS, all recipients from preceding 12 months must get a revised and dated SDS
- If Chemical container label also changes, please submit L5 White paper through your Intel contact
Safety Data Sheet (SDS) Submission Form
This is a 2 Step process
1. Download and complete SDS Submission Forms.
2. Send revised/updated SDS(s) with submission form to Intel_MSDS@intel.com
Supply Chain EHS Policies, Specifications & Permits
Conflict Minerals Sourcing Policy
Intel’s Conflict Minerals Sourcing Policy documents our recognition of the issue associated with conflict minerals and communicates our expectations for our suppliers in establishing a DRC conflict free supply chain. The supplier expectations identified in the policy apply to all Intel suppliers who use any of the metals (tantalum, tin, tungsten, and gold) in their products or materials they supply to Intel. Intel suppliers should have a conflict minerals sourcing policy as well as exercise due diligence on their supply chains to support establishing DRC conflict free materials supplied to Intel. Intel’s Conflict Minerals Sourcing Policy is available as a template for our suppliers. Our Conflict Minerals White paper describes what Intel is doing to address the issue and can be found at Intel’s Conflict Minerals Program website.
Environmental Product Content Specification
This specification includes Intel’s expectations for its suppliers as related to conflict minerals. It identifies substances that should not be contained in or are required to be reported for materials, parts, components, or products supplied to Intel.
Questions or comments regarding Conflict Minerals should be directed to Erin Mitchell at conflict.minerals.team@intel.com

On-site Supplier Safety Program
At Intel, we are committed to safety and protecting people, property, and the environment. The importance of safety extends to our suppliers and their employees that work at Intel sites.
Intel utilizes the Highwire (formerly ConstructSecure) Program as the system of record for our supplier safety pre-qualification.
Highwire’s prequalification safety assessment solution provides a comprehensive safety analysis for Intel suppliers. It is applicable to all suppliers with contingent workers who will perform potentially hazardous work on Intel campuses.
Suppliers and their contract managers/sponsors review screening questions together based on the planned scope of work onsite. Suppliers who answer “Yes” to any of the screening questions need to enroll with Highwire and complete an online safety profile and assessment.
CWOS/Fieldglass only allows suppliers to register/badge at Intel if their status is ‘Approved’ within Highwire. This approval is granted by Intel Global EHS / On-site Supplier Safety Program Manager after a review of the supplier’s scope of work and their applicable safety program documentation.
Suppliers must maintain their ‘Approved’ status, through annual renewal/profile review, to continue to work at Intel sites.
To begin your enrollment and start the assessment process, go here.

Guests Worker Process
The purpose of pre-task planning is to aid in job planning by documenting hazards and associated controls.
All workers involved and/or affected by the work must review and understand potential risks, hazards, and impacts along with the documented protective measures.
Escorted Guest Workers shall confirm this by signing the PTP prior to starting work.
The pre-task plan must be readily available at the location where the work is being conducted and for the duration of the work tasks being performed.
If work activities and/or conditions change, the work must stop! The PTP must be reviewed and revised as appropriate to comprehend the changes. Prior to restarting work, all workers review and comprehend the revised PTP.
Escort will validate that a pre-task plan has been completed prior to entry.
Individual sites may have translated versions of PTP available and additional local requirements. Check with your sponsor for further details

Escorted Guest Worker - Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
Escorted Guest Worker - Individuals engaged in a work activity (tool maintenance, tool troubleshooting, facilities maintenance, unplanned work, construction work, IT services, etc.) and are infrequently (less than 5 times a year) on site or responding to an emergency.
COVID-19 Response: PTP Expectations
Pre-Task Planning (PTP) during the COVID-19 response needs to comprehend if a task involves workers to be less than 6 feet apart from others in order to safely perform the task? Considerations should be:
- Can the task be delayed temporarily, if it will not impact critical operations or create a safety or compliance issue?
- Can the task be staggered to reduce your time spent in close proximity with others?
- Can the task be reconfigured such that 6 feet distance can be achieved between you and your peers?
- Can a jig/hoist/tool be used to safely perform the task and maintain social distancing?
- PPE use to address social distancing challenges is to be considered the last option. Supplier should align with site practices if this approach is pursued.
