Issue:

Researchers from IBM Research Europe and Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam have published a paper titled “GhostRace: Exploiting and Mitigating Speculative Race Conditions.”

 

Resolution/Recommendations:

Intel reviewed the report submitted by academic researchers and determined that the previous mitigation guidance provided for Spectre v1 is effective against this new research and no new mitigations or guidance is required.
