Summary:
A potential security vulnerability in some Intel® Human Interface Device (HID) Event Filter software installers may allow escalation of privilege. Intel is releasing software updates to mitigate this potential vulnerability.

Description: Insecure inherited permissions in some Intel® HID Event Filter software installers before version 2.2.2.1 may allow an authenticated user to potentially enable escalation of privilege via local access.

Recommendation:
Intel recommends that users of Intel® HID Event Filter software installers update to the latest version provided by the system manufacturer that addresses these issues.
