Summary:
Intel is releasing software updates that mitigate a security vulnerability in executables to install Intel Wireless drivers.
Description:
DLL injection vulnerability in the installation executables (Autorun.exe and Setup.exe) for Intel's wireless drivers and related software allows a local attacker to cause escalation of privilege via remote code execution.
Affected products:
Intel has identified the following products and technologies as affected by this vulnerability: Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, WiGig and WAPI installation software for the Intel® Dual Band Wireless-AC, Intel® Tri-Band Wireless-AC and Intel® Wireless-AC family of products.

No software updates will be made available for older generations of Intel wireless products since these products have reached end-of-life status.
The Intel® Centrino® Wireless adapters listed below reached end-of-life status in 2014 or 2015.
Intel® Centrino® Wireless adapters not listed have an end-of-life date earlier than 2014.
