Fabian's current research focus is on safe, risk-aware approaches for automated driving, where he develops, software, system architectures and simulation tools to accelerate the adoption of safe automated driving technologies. Besides, he is the one of the developers of the scenario engine for the CARLA simulator and is a contributor to the RSS open source library. Prior to Intel, Fabian was a PostDoc at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology, where he worked on spintronics and dependable computing. Since 2016, he holds a PhD in computer science for his research in dependability-aware microprocessor design.
