Bernd Gassmann is a Research Scientist at Intel Labs where he focuses on dependability of automated driving. He received his Dr.-Ing. (equivalent to Ph.D) with his dissertation on navigation of walking robots from Karlsruhe Institute of Technology, Germany, in 2008. His research interests primarily include safety on system level with focus on algorithms in the field of decision-making and perception.
