Block Design Naming logic option
Specifies the naming scheme used for design entities.
You can select one of the following settings:

Directs the Intel® Quartus® Prime software to use the naming scheme defined in the source files. |
MAX+PLUSII |
Directs the Intel® Quartus® Prime software to use the naming scheme for design entities used in the Intel® Quartus® Prime software versions 7.2 and earlier. |
Intel® Quartus® Prime |
Directs the Intel® Quartus® Prime software to use the naming scheme for design entities used in the Intel® Quartus® Prime software versions 7.2 and later. When a bus is split, the resulted pins are named with base name followed by square brackets, with indices between the bracket pair |
This option is useful if your design contains design files generated by the Intel® Quartus® Prime software version 7.2 or earlier. You can use this option to specify which naming scheme you want the Intel® Quartus® Prime software to use on a specified design entity or the entire design.
You can use this option as a project-wide option, or assign it to a design entity.
