device family Definition

A group of Intel programmable logic devices (PLDs) with the same fundamental architecture. Intel's families include supported device (Cyclone^® IV , MAX^® II , MAX^® V, Stratix^® IV, and Stratix^® V ) families. Intel also offers a serial configuration device family that includes devices used to configure the devices in supported device (Arria^® V, Cyclone^® IV , Cyclone^® V , Stratix^® IV, and Stratix^® V ) families.
