Default toggle rates for unspecified signals

Allows you to specify toggle rates for the Power Analyzer to use during power analysis.

Default toggle rate used for input I/O signals

Allows you to specify a default toggle rate for the Power Analyzer to assume for all primary I/O signals, which include input I/O, bidirectional (input path), and virtual pins. You can specify the toggle rate as a percentage of clock cycles in which the signal toggles, or as a number of transitions per second, where a transition is defined as a change of state from 0 to 1 or from 1 to 0.

Note: The Power Analyzer assumes a static probability of 0.5 for all unspecified signals.

Default toggle rate used for remaining signals

Allows you to specify a default toggle rate for the Power Analyzer to assume for all non-input signals.

  • Use default value—Directs the Power Analyzer to assume a default toggle rate that you specify. You can specify the toggle rate as a percentage, or as a number of transitions per second.
Note: The Power Analyzer assumes a static probability of 0.5 for all unspecified signals.

  • Use vectorless estimation—For supported devices families, directs the Power Analyzer to perform vectorless estimation to calculate a toggle rate.
