lpm_constant Intel® FPGA IP
Parameterized constant generator Intel® FPGA IP. Intel recommends using the CONSTANT primitive or AHDL Constant Statements rather than lpm_constant for easier implementation and to improve compilation time. However, lpm_constant may be useful if you need to convert a parameter into a constant. The lpm_constant Intel® FPGA IP is available for all Intel devices.
Intel recommends instantiating this function with the IP Catalog.
Note:
- You can use the lpm_constant Intel® FPGA IP to read data from and write data to in-system memory in devices with the In-System Memory Content Editor. To use the lpm_constant Intel® FPGA IP with the In-System Memory Content Editor, you must turn on the Allow In-System Memory Content Editor to capture and update content independently of the system clock option (that is, the ENABLE_RUNTIME_MOD and INSTANCE_NAME parameters must be enabled) when instantiating the lpm_constant Intel® FPGA IP with the IP Catalog .
- When you create your Intel® FPGA IP, you can use the IP Catalog to generate a netlist for third-party synthesis tools.
