All Pins List Command (View Menu)
Opens the All Pins list, which displays all nodes defined as pins in the design, as well as information about the assignments for each node. The All Pins list displays only unique, scalar pins; all buses and assignment groups appear in the Groups list. You can make assignments directly in this list, or you can make location assignments by dragging groups or nodes to the Pin Planner package view or the Pad View window.
If compilation results are available, the list displays all nodes defined as pins in the design in the Compiler database, any nodes previously entered in the Pin Planner, and any nodes that have pin-related assignments. If compilation results are not available, the list displays any nodes previously entered in the Pin Planner, and any nodes that have pin-related assignments. You can use the Filter list to filter the information displayed in the All Pins list. For example, you can choose to display only assigned pins or unassigned pins, or all input pins; you can also create custom filters with the Customize Filter dialog box. You can add new nodes to the list directly, but you cannot delete nodes from the list if the node is in the compilation database or is part of an assignment group or a bus. You also cannot edit nodes names in the All Pins list if the node is in the compilation database or is part of a bus. You can create new assignment groups by right-clicking the nodes you want to include in the new assignment group in the All Pins list, and then clicking Create Group. You can add a pin to a group with the Add to Group dialog box.
If you select a node in the list that has a location assignment, the corresponding pin assignment is highlighted in the Pin Planner package view and Pad View window. If you want to change the location of a pin, the Location column in the All Pins list displays all assignable locations, uses I/O bank colors, and displays the I/O bank, general function, and any special function of the pin. If you select a node in the list and the node is a member of an assignment group or a bus, the corresponding node is highlighted in the Groups list. If you select a node that has a location assignment, and drag it to a new location in the Pin Planner package view, the location assignment is moved. If you select multiple nodes in the list and drag them to the Pin Planner package view, the nodes are placed in the same order in which you selected them.
If a pin belongs to a group or bus that has assignments— such as I/O standard assignments or location assignments— that are inherited by the individual pins, the inherited values appear in the All Pins list.
