parameterized function Definition
A logic function that uses parameters to achieve scalability, adaptability, and efficient silicon implementation. Intel® Quartus® Prime supports a variety of parameterized functions (also called "parameterized modules"), including functions belonging to the Library of Parameterized Modules (LPM).
LPM functions provide architecture-independent design entry for all Intel® Quartus® Prime-supported devices. The Intel® Quartus® Prime Compiler includes built-in compilation support for LPM functions used in schematic, AHDL Include Files (.inc ),VHDL Output File (.vho),and Verilog Output File (.vo).
