Address Map Tab (Platform Designer)
The Address Map tab allows you view and edit connections between memory masters and slaves in a Platform Designer system.
Navigation Panel
Shows all master interfaces available in the current system. The search bar allows you to search and filter master interfaces. You can select one or more master interfaces.
Address Configuration Panel
The information that appears in the Address Configuration panel depends on the selection in the Navigation panel.
If you select a single master interface, the Address Configuration panel displays a table where the rows correspond to memory-mapped slaves than connect to the master. The columns are:
Column Name | Description |
---|---|
Slave | Name of the slave |
Base Address | Start address of space assigned in the master, in hex format |
End Address | End address of space assigned in the master, in hex format |
Size | Slave size, in bytes. |
Otherwise, the Address Configuration panel displays a matrix of master-slave connections, where the rows correspond to the slaves and the columns to the masters. If the master and slave are connected, the intersecting cell contains the address range that the master assigns to the slave. If there is no connection, the cell is blank.
Auto Assign Base Address Button
Directs Platform Designer to assign base addresses to the system so the addressed do not overlap.
