Expand Connections Command (View Menu)

You access this command by clicking Expand Connections on the tool bar or from the View menu in the Chip Planner.

Expands a selected connection or path, to show its component parts. If applied to a connection, this command displays its subconnections; if applied to a subconnection, this command displays the routing elements associated with that subconnection.

When you click Expand Connections, the command highlights all routing elements that form any part of the selected connection or path. The results remain displayed as long as they are selected, or until you use theClear Unselected Connections command.

Note:

The Chip Planner provides modifier keys that you can use in conjunction with these commands to control which resources are selected. The modifier keys do not change the basic function of the command, they determine only what is selected as a result of the command.
