Global libraries (all projects)
Allows you to specify the path name for a library you want to add to the Libraries list.
You can use relative paths to locate the library name. The advantage of relative paths is that, if you have an identical directory structure on different platforms, you can migrate your design to a different platform, and still compile and view results successfully. Also, if you type a relative path or just a file name for the user library, the Intel® Quartus® Prime software searches for the files in the following order:
- <project name> directory
- <project name>/db directory
- Project libraries listed in the project's Intel Quartus Prime Settings File (.qsf) Definition
- User libraries that you specify in this page and in the Global User Libraries (All Projects) page
- Directories under quartus/libraries
Libraries contained in your project directory are specified in your Intel® Quartus® Prime Settings File using relative paths.
