Altera Programming Unit (APU) Definition
A logic device programming box. The APU works with zero-insertion-force sockets and individual adapters to program and test Intel devices.
The PL-APU base unit and PLM-prefix adapters support both device programming and device testing for configuration devices, MAX 3000 devices, and MAX 7000 devices.
The APU is supported for WindowsXP only and is connected using a USB port.
Note: On PCs running WindowsXP, the Windows operating system prompts you to locate the APU USB
driver for the APU. Go to the Altera Programming Unit User Guide for
instructions about locating the APU USB driver.
