Power Rail

Description

VCC voltage

Displays the voltage that you supply to the VCC power rail.

VCCPT voltage

Displays the voltage that you supply to the VCCPT power rail.

VCCA_PLL voltage

Displays the voltage that you supply to the VCCA_PLL power rail.

VCCD_PLL voltage

Displays the voltage that you supply to the VCCD_PLL power rail.

VCCHIP_L voltage

Displays the voltage that you supply to the VCCHIP_L power rail.

VCCHIP_R voltage

Displays the voltage that you supply to the VCCHIP_R power rail.

VCCT_L voltage

Displays the voltage that you supply to the VCCT_L power rail.

VCCT_R voltage

Displays the voltage that you supply to the VCCT_R power rail.

VCCL_GXBL voltage

Displays the voltage that you supply to the VCCL_GXBL power rail.

VCCL_GXBR voltage

Displays the voltage that you supply to the VCCL_GXBR power rail.

VCCR_L voltage

Displays the voltage that you supply to the VCCR_L power rail.

VCCR_R voltage

Displays the voltage that you supply to the VCCR_R power rail.

VCCA_L voltage

Displays the default voltage of the VCCA_L power rail supply, which is applied if all transceivers on the left side of the device are powered and unused. Configure the VCCA_L voltage for your intended protocol with the altgx megafunction.

VCCA_R voltage

Displays the default voltage of the VCCA_R power rail supply, which is applied if all transceivers on the right side of the device are powered and unused. Configure the VCCA_R voltage for your intended protocol with the altgx megafunction.

VCCH_GXBL voltage

Displays the default voltage of the VCCH_GXBL power rail supplies, which is applied if all transceivers in the corresponding transceiver block are powered and unused. To configure a transceiver for your intended protocol, use the altgx megafunction.

VCCH_GXBR voltage

Displays the default voltage of the VCCH_GXBR power rail supplies, which is applied if all transceivers in the corresponding transceiver block are powered and unused. To configure a transceiver for your intended protocol, use the altgx megafunction.

VCCAUX voltage

Displays the voltage that you supply to the VCCAUX power rail.

VCCIO voltage

Displays the method you can use to set the VCCIO voltage. For Stratix® IV devices, you configure the VCCIO voltage with pin assignments.

VCCHIP_L power

Allows you to power off the VCCHIP pins on the left side of the device.

  • Opportunistically power off— If the PCI Express hard IP blocks on the left side of the device are unused, setting this option to Opportunistically power off directs the PowerPlay® Power Analyzer to consider the PCI Express hard IP blocks on the left side of the device powered down. If placement using only the right-side PCI Express hard IP blocks is not possible, the PowerPlay® Power Analyzer considers both sides powered.
  • Power on— Directs the PowerPlay® Power Analyzer to consider the left-side VCCHIP pins powered regardless of their use.

VCCHIP_R power

Allows you to power off the VCCHIP pins on the right side of the device.

  • Opportunistically power off— If the PCI Express hard IP blocks on the right side of the device are unused, setting this option directs the PowerPlay® Power Analyzer to consider the PCI Express hard IP blocks on the right side of the device powered down. If placement using only the left-side PCI Express hard IP blocks is not possible, the PowerPlay® Power Analyzer considers both sides powered.
  • Power on— Directs the PowerPlay® Power Analyzer to consider the right-side VCCHIP pins powered regardless of their use.

Transceiver power (left side)

Allows you to power off the transceivers on the left side of the device. This setting affects the VCCA_L, VCCH_GXBL, VCCL_GXBL, VCCR_L, and VCCT_L power rails.

  • Opportunistically power off— If the transceivers on the left side of the device are unused, setting this option to Opportunistically power off directs the PowerPlay® Power Analyzer to consider the transceivers on the left side of the device powered down. If placement using only the right-side transceivers is not possible, the PowerPlay® Power Analyzer considers both sides powered.
  • Power on— Directs the PowerPlay® Power Analyzer to consider the left-side transceivers powered regardless of their use.

Transceiver power (right side)

Allows you to power off the transceivers on the right side of the device. This setting affects the VCCA_R, VCCH_GXBR, VCCL_GXBR, VCCR_R, and VCCT_R power rails.

  • Opportunistically power off— If the transceivers on the right side of the device are unused, setting this option directs the PowerPlay® Power Analyzer to consider the transceivers on the right side of the device powered down. If placement using only the left-side transceivers is not possible, the PowerPlay® Power Analyzer considers both sides powered.
  • Power on— Directs the PowerPlay® Power Analyzer to consider the right-side transceivers powered regardless of their use.
